Here’s how your business or corporation can partner with Oak-Leyden to help children and adults with developmental disabilities meet life’s challenges and reach their highest potential:
1. Organize a group project. Choose from a wide variety of team building activities by assisting Oak-Leyden with ongoing projects such as painting the interior of one of our 12 group homes; organizing therapy rooms for our Children’s Services program, creating and maintaining a garden with our adult participants. Consider offsite activities such as assembling snack packs for our participants, collecting gently used or new items for our Wish List, donating gently used computer equipment. (We can pick up your donated items!)
2. Sponsor an event. Each year, our corporate partners provide critically needed support as sponsors for our annual fall and spring events, National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month activities, and #GivingTuesday. Some partners sponsor existing events, while others come up with their own.
3. Launch a workplace giving campaign. Encourage your employees to support our mission through payroll deductions. Support their charitable endeavors by doubling or tripling their gifts with a company match.
