Heart and Sole Shoe Drive

Home Heart and Sole Shoe Drive

GOAL: Raise a minimum of $1,000 from collection of new/gently used shoes.

HOW: Collect 2,500 pairs of shoes; 25 pairs of shoes fit in one bag; starter kit is 100 bags = 2,500.

Funds2orgs provides everything we need for collection — bags, rubber bands and pick up.

With coaching and marketing material support from staff, a Volunteer Team will collect new/gently used shoes during April and May; you cannot outright buy the shoes, but you can solicit shoe stores/warehouses; you can also ask friends/family to clean out their closets and talk to your school or religious community.

COLLECTION PROCESS: Shoes must be brought to the Oak Park and Elmwood Park Lifelong Learning Centers between 9am-4pm; participants and volunteers will bag the shoes according to instructions.

What happens to the shoes?

Funds2orgs is a fundraising company, and the dominant shoe drive fundraising business in North America. They work with thousands of organizations in the US and Canada to help them raise thousands of dollars in 60-90 days through shoe drives. Shoes are collected then distributed to partners in 24 countries, including Haiti, Peru, Ghana, Ukraine, and the Philippines. Micro businesses in these countries thrive by selling the shoes.
