Oak Leyden Developmental Services is proud to announce the return of Sandy Vanoskey as our new Senior Director of Adult Services! Sandy worked for Oak-Leyden from 2018 to 2019 as our Director of Community Living Services and also served as our CPi Instructor and continued quarterly training for us for the past 2 years as well.
She will oversee all of our Residential Programs, Supportive employment and the Lifelong Learning Centers. Sandy has over 28 years of experience in the field of disabilities and has worked for several large Non for Profits in Director and Administrator capacities, and most recently has been working as a Senior Level Illinois State Administrator for the Elisabeth Ludeman State Operated Developmental Center for the past 2 ½ years. She has led the Clinical and Behavioral Services Team there and worked with the Regional Transitions team to assist special needs individuals with moving into the Community.

I look forward to enhancing their social and community connections as well as exploring possibilities of expanding services at Oak-Leyden. “
Vanoskey holds her B.A, in Social Work from Augustana College, is certified as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities professional, is a certified First aid and CPR instructor ,Certified Aggression management instructor, and certified OIG investigator.
She has dedicated her entire life to helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout the State of Illinois. She says “Its my purpose in life to assist individuals with special needs achieve their greatest potential and live their best life.”
