Oak-Leyden Developmental Services is proud to introduce Mauvolyene “Mau” Moore as its new Director of Residential Services. Mauvolyene brings over a decade of expertise to her role and will oversee Oak-Leyden’s twelve Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILA) homes for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
“I am truly grateful for the opportunity I have been given to join such a wonderful team,” says Moore. “With 13 years of experience in the intellectual and developmental disabilities field, I hope to bring knowledge, compassion, and new ideas to Oak-Leyden. I am looking forward to getting to know all of the participants we serve, to positively impact and enhance their independence, as well as their community connections. ”
Moore holds her B.A. in Psychology from Northern Illinois University and is working on a M.A. in Social Service Administration from the University of Illinois. She is certified as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional as well as a Nurse Aid. Moore has dedicated herself to helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout the state of Illinois.
