Oak Leyden is excited to announce that DeShawn Dennis will be joining the Community Living services team as the new Assistant Director of Community Living, alongside Caffie Moore.
DeShawn Dennis has worked in the field of social services engaging individuals with developmental disabilities for 20 years. He began working as a Developmental Trainer (DT) in 2002. He has worked in various roles at social service agencies in Illinois including as a House Manager and then the Adult Program Manager at Graywood Foundation, a QIDP at the Graywood Foundation and CTF Illinois, a Self-Direction Assistant at Clearbrook, and the Day Program Supervisor at CTF Illinois and Sertoma Centre. “I am honored to now work at Oak Leyden.”
Deshawn has a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences under Consumer Affairs from Eastern Illinois University as well as a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Concordia University Chicago.
