A Path to Independent Living.
Through Oak-Leyden’s Community Living Services Program, adult participants enjoy comfort and safety in group homes located in Chicago’s near west suburbs. Residents are provided 24-hour support and care that promote personal independence and physical well-being.
Our Community Living Services Program participants live in family-style homes that allow for attention to their individual needs. Community Integrated Living Arrangements (CILAs) provide a path laden with developmental stepping stones to independence for each individual. Participants are able to build a foundation on which they grow and live as independently as possible, participating in communities as their neighbors do. In addition, Oak-Leyden offers intermittent support to adults with developmental disabilities who live on their own in the community. Oak-Leyden staff help Intermittent CILA participants maintain their personal independence by providing the support they need.
