Behavioral Health Services will address emotional and behavioral concerns to help reduce the daily stresses for families. Using clinical therapy and connection to resources to help support children and families dealing with trauma, stress, and other life circumstances.
If your child and family are having any difficulty with emotional and behavioral skills they might look as follows:
- Non-preferred behaviors: Hitting, kicking, biting, or pushing other children. Throwing items within the home setting or school setting. Yelling and screaming during activities that disrupt the room.
- Social Connections: Difficulty during social play with other children. Difficulty with connecting with parents and caregivers.
- Difficulty following directions: Self-directed in play. Refuses to follow family and/or teacher directions.
- Resources: Helping find community/state resources to assist families socially, emotionally, and financially.
- Parenting Support: Support families dealing with the stress surrounding daily routines with the child, the child’s diagnosis, family, etc.
