Our Mission and Values | Oak-Leyden Developmental Services

Oak Leyden serves children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and delays and their families by providing individualized therapy, education, housing, job placement, and comprehensive services.

Our mission is lived each day by our dedicated staff, volunteers, and partners. Three core values guide us in this important work:

When I toured Oak-Leyden, I immediately knew I wanted to enroll my sister there. The atmosphere was much different than other places I’d visited. It’s structured, classroom-style with a smaller teacher-to-client ratio. It’s very clean and organized, offers field trips, and the staff is committed to giving each client the personal attention and care they need. Communication between my family and the staff is excellent. I find it quite reassuring that we are all working together to meet Tina’s needs and concerns.
