Our Children’s Services program was awarded the Special Kids Foundation’s $25,000 25th Anniversary Special Grant to help fund the renovation of our indoor therapy space for better accessibility, confidentiality, creativity, and flexibility.
Special Kids Foundation supports organizations that make a positive impact in the lives of children with developmental disabilities through education, treatment, and/or inclusion. Pictured at the awards ceremony at the Winnetka Community House are Rachel Wood, Oak-Leyden’s Division Chief of Children’s Services, with Special Kids’ Executive Director Cheryle N. Yallen and board member Peggy Miller. We sincerely appreciate their vote of confidence in our program and their investment in our families.
